She’s baacccckkk!!! One of my
favorite people to nerd out with over child development, OT Lori
Goodrich, from episode 4 is back on the podcast today! I’d never
given much thought to how solid foods played a role in the sensory
system before Lori entered my world. Sure, it’s about taste and
texture, but it’s also about oral motor development and how food
affects the system. I learned so much from Lori from the best cup
to use, to the ideal chairs for kiddos to sit in while eating, and
how different foods play a role in oral motor development.
Sometimes food challenges can be learned behavior and
boundary-pushing, but sometimes there is something beneath the
surface, a sensory challenge presenting during meal time. I’m so
excited to share this episode with you and for you to dive into all
things solid food with us!
